A film score isn't written by committee. It carries a single sensibility: a composer who lives inside the story and gives it a coherent musical identity from first frame to last.

What a collective adds is range. One project calls for sweeping orchestral writing; another for intimate electronics, or a hybrid no single composer would reach for alone. Within Synarka, each film is led by the composer whose voice fits it, with the depth of a full team behind them.

The result: the focus of a dedicated author, and the breadth to match whatever your story needs to sound like.

How We Work

From the page to the final mix

A complete scoring methodology: the same process behind a studio feature, scaled to your project.

Conversation & script

We start by talking with the director and producers, and studying the script. Before a note is written, we understand the story, its intentions, and what the music has to carry.

Sonic identity

Together with the director we define the overall aesthetic the score should follow: not just melody, rhythm and harmony, but arrangement, orchestration and instrumentation. The film's musical world, decided on purpose.

Main themes & motifs

We build the core themes and leitmotifs in the agreed style: the recurring musical ideas that give the film its identity and evolve with the narrative.

Spotting session

Once we receive the reels locked to picture, we run a spotting session with the director, defining exactly where music goes, why, what each cue must convey, and just as importantly, what it should not. That map guides the scoring.

Scoring & revisions

We compose to picture, cue by cue, with revision rounds alongside the director to shape every detail until the score sits exactly right against the film.

Recording & mixWhen budget allows

When the budget allows, we record with live players, and can offer excellent rates with some of the finest orchestras on the market. We deliver final mixes in 5.1, Dolby Atmos and other formats as needed. The complete package.
